I am preparing my graduation project : " The design of a spherical LPG storage tank ". I have been searching for codes and standards to establish my design and it took me a considerable time to realize that I'm only able to design the shell and nozzle thickness with the (ASME DIV VIII UG27 / UG45 ), but the most difficult part of the design for a spherical tank is the loadings of the supports. My project include seismic, wind, rain & snow loads.
Can i use Robot auto-desk for this kinda task ? or maybe Solidworks FE especially for the stub leg zone ? what would you recommend me to use for the design of the column and the cross bracing.
I really appreciate any kind of help. Thank you
