Is it possible to attach more than 1 webcam to a laptop?

It depends if the webcams are ip cameras, then it's pretty easy, assign them each an ip address and run the software that came with them. If not, there are plenty of software on the internet with multiple camera support.

If the cameras are standard composite cameras, there are multi cam usb interfaces available with software.
