Most standard industrial battery charger are sized to charge in 6 hours. So the battery is charged for the next work shift. Much faster charge then that the electrolyte gets too hot and the water boils out. Dividing the charger's rate amp output into the Ah rating of the battery gives the approximate time to fully charge the battery.
