CTP Print

06/15/2007 8:46 PM

We are a manufacturer of package. Recently we begain to used the CTP instead of the former PS to print. I am not very clearly about the technology of CPT. Everyone says that CTP have many many advantage conpare to PS. But we find that the print effection are not pefect as we expect. There are still white dots on products. Chromatic aberration is still a problem to be solved. We really don't know what's the matter.

"We really don't know what's the matter."

We at CR4 don't know what the problem is!

If you will expand your inquiry to be more lucid and explicit we may be of some help. e.g. avoid trade jargon and or abreviations.

What type of scanner are you using for camera-ready copy?

If not a scanner, then how are you bringing in your images?

I take it you mean you're image is on a CD. But where did it originally come from? I assume you start with what's called Camera Ready Images, then how are you getting them into the computer and on to the CD?

Or are you using some art program to generate images and then saving them to CD?

The art image are supplied by our client, so when we get it , it is already in compute. I understand what you mean. Do you want to say that all image are original from ourside either from scanner or camera. I cann't agree with you on this. We also can use some software to make image, aha.

on the other hand, even if i agree with you about the origin of picture, it's very hard for us to trace it because odf the many many hands before the image reach us.

Many thanks!

OK. Go here and read this, especially the "Advantage/Disadvantage" section.
