MR Tap Changer Control Mechanisms

Is it possible for me to interchange MR tap changer control mechanism boxes only from one Type: M III 350Y 170/C, 12.7 OHMS, Type: MA7 196966(DIAGRAM), 3~ 380V,50Hz, .75KW, 220V (AC)

TO this: Type : MIII 300 Y, 60/C , 12.7 OHMS, Type: MA 7 29816TS, 3~380V, 50Hz, .75KW, 110V(AC)

Both are VDE 0532, IEC 214

You did notice that the control circuitry contact rating in one is 110V and the other 220V? The best way to find out is to call MR in Germany.

We have already had one death down here recently due to an exploding tap changer, best you talk directly with the supplier.

Since you asked if its possible, My answer is NOTHING is impossible if only you know how to do it. I suggest you contact MR if you're in very much doubt otherwise no problem in interchanging the " Boxes " as long the mechanism fits and can the mounted properly ... as for the voltages being different it doesnt really matter since you're just dealing with "BOXES" only
