Thanks for sharing! Having worked in two pultrusion facilities, the demo is certainly a good representation of what I have seen. The process is simple enough that just about anyone can build a pultrusion operation in their garage but to do so on a commercial scale is an entirely different matter.
The process controls are reasonably sophisticated. The liquid resins can be very messy and permeate the facility with a pungent odor. Also, when the pultruded profiles are cut, an enormous amount of dust (including chopped glass) is generated. Finally, die design is not a simple matter.
There is much room for innovation here and I hope your readers will generate a valuable discussion...and maybe a new business!
