We are using S700 PLC with OP17 operating panel, we tried to upload from HMI(OP17) to laptop (serial port) but failed, only download from PC to HMI why & what is the suitable commnuication cable can be used.
I think you may need a modem supplied by the plc vendor if s700 is allen-bradley I am fairly sure you do. The modem will have the proper cables attached.
