Wirelessly Controlling Multiple LED Walls

05/27/2014 7:46 AM

G'morning all, WHAT I HAVE: I have five sets of motorized LED walls and each set consists of 3 separate walls so, this makes a total of 15 walls and, It is my job to set up different content on each of the walls. The way these walls have been set up in the past (before motorizing them) is, each set of 3 would have 1 controller (send card) which would be connect via cat5 to the 1st tile of wall 1 which, in turn would loop and connect all three walls of the set. WHAT I WOULD LIKE; I would like to replace the cat5 inter-wall loop with simplistic wireless receiving devises. At the moment I have a Netgear N600 which I use to control single walls, the main reason for the N600 is that it has a usb outlet which, I can use to connect to my controller (send card) and communicate wirelessly from my laptop to the wall. So this will leave me with 5 sets of three walls and each set will have wireless communication within it's set only, whereas, each of the 5 sets will not be able to cross communicate with each other. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. All the best Gary

Sounds like you need a video software program to solve this issue....

Thank you for your response Solareagle, Being a freelance LED tech I have also worked on the build of some of those walls, usually NEC's but, what I am looking for is to be able to communicate wirelessly to each group of 3 walls, unfortunately the tiles do no have IP addresses unlike the LCD's. I think what I am looking for is some kind of receiver antenna's where one can give groups separate IP address's whereby, one can communicate to each group from a laptop as far as the initial setup goes, this includes setup, tile communication and calibration of the walls, and then content via dvi The content is usually controlled by a Spyder to fibre, High5, dvi to the group Processor.
