I do read standards as they relate to machine safety and safety in general. Unless the scope of your interest is narrowed there are a huge number of standards with ISO and ANSI each having in excess of 15,000 standards.

i am interested in offshore standards, subsea, piping, risers, tie-ins. whatever is related to oil and gas. But i'd stick to what i mentioned because those where the kind of projects that i was envolved with. S-cruve laying, riser installation flange connection and welded type and tie-ins. Piping is one of the most interesting domains in the offshore, but i was only involved in it for like two months and i was a client rep monitoring the work of subcontractors. I am also interested in the codes and standards related to hydrotesting and pigging.
