Join Weld Skirt to Base Plate

hai there

could anyone tell me how to weld joint of Skirt to Baseplate on Silo 100 ton base on ASME Sec VIII div. 1 or other standard..

thickness of skirt 10mm and thickness of base plate 30mm

can I welding with intermiten filled weld joint?

"A picture is worth a thousand words." I have an idea of the nature of your enquiry but I am not exactly sure. Please produce a sketch showing the plate thicknesses, the diameter of the skirt and the position of the proposed welding.

Did you refer your engineering specification?

If the info. is not available in specification, provide complete design details with drawing of the particular joint for a deep analysis.
