Wave Winding

06/27/2014 1:39 PM

In a wave wound machine there is only going to be two brushes. Suppose I have a four pole machine. Then where am i going to place these two brushes. I have to place them at the magnetic neutral axis but where is this m.n.a going to be. Its same if its a two pole machine to locate the m.n.a

Is this an actual piece of equipment or a homework assignment?

Wave is one type of armature winding, in these winding the end of one coil is connected to the starting of another coil, place both the brush in two different end, it will not the same if it is two pole machine to locate the m.n.a.
