Dodge Man

07/26/2014 11:59 PM

My Dodge 2500, Diesel, Automatic. w 250,000 miles. 1994.

The cruse and overdrive will drop out if the road rough enough to bounce the brake peddle. I added a spring and replaced the switch. The same problem.

Install a wire to the OD solenoid and at about 65 the OD will lockup and the convertor will lockup. Without power you don't have the OD and Lock up convertor.

Questions;

Is there a switch in the throttle linkage?

Where and what do I look for?

Sounds to me like a loose wire. That switch is probably normally closed, so a loose connection would have the same effect as touching the brake pedal.

I don't know the answer to your other question.
