Matlab

Hi readers, How to create a tool box in matlab..

For example, how a system identification tool box is created??

Did I have to write a gui for it??

I have browsed in net, but couldnt be able to get a good explanation

I am betting that only MathWorks creates toolboxes and you have to buy them. You can write new functions of your own (.m files) using the existing functions of Matlab and whatever toolboxes you have purchased.

You may wish to look at Octave, as well. Given that it is Open Source, you can tweak to your heart's content and submit your mods for inclusion. Octave is at least as powerful as Matlab, probably more so as the code is not proprietary and includes contributions from a much wider sphere of expertise.

Did I mention Octave is free?

Octave looks very much like Matlab and runs .m files. I downloaded Octave to use at home after I retired and no longer had an employer to spring for the Matlab license.
