Hydropneumatic and Booster Pump

Hydropneumatic and booster pump both using a pressure tank during operation. What is the different between these two type pump ? They seem both provide constant pressure to the system.

A hydropneumatic system uses a pump supplying water to a tank in which the pump is controlled by the pressure in the tank....when the water level drops the air pressure decreases and starts the pump, which then shuts off when the pressure reaches whatever it's set at.....the booster pump comes on when the main pump can't meet the rate of water usage, generally set at a lower pressure....

in this picture/figure there is no rubber bladder inside the tank,is it not required,what are the advantages/disadvantages?.

In other words you can control the pressure in a smaller tank without relying on water volume and/or pump running....

In an Italian bladder type pressure tank,through the bottom water is pumped into the bladder,the top of bladder is fixed to the top of the tank by a locknut but Nitrogen or air is pumped into the tank by a valve similar to the one fitted in bicycle tyre/tube.Is it the same type you shown in the diagram.

The booster pump is it installed in series with the main pump ? The bladder type pressure tank is it those usually used together with booster pump ? What you mean the size of the bladder type pressure tank usually can reduce up to 80%, is it compared to the hydro-pneumatic tank ?

No the booster pump would be an additional line.....

The system is called hydropneumatic because it uses air pressure to control water pressure...

In a large tank the gravity exerts pressure from the weight of the water, this provides the pressure needed....by using a bladder you can use the air pressure to raise water pressure so not much weight is needed to provide pressure, more air, less water, smaller tank....now this is sufficient if the amount of water needed at one time doesn't exceed the amount of water that can be provided to maintain sufficient pressure....now if you can't use a larger tank for whatever reason, you can add a booster pump that will meet the demand...Now this would be used in a situation where demand was met most of the time by the main pump and only occasionally a pressure drop was experienced...otherwise you would just go with a larger pump to begin with...

Is that mean booster pump could be sized at same size with the main pump, but with bladder type pressure tank for better pressure to the system ? During kick in of booster pump, is that mean main pump would stop and take over by booster pump ?
