Wall Thickness for External Pressure

Good Morning,

In case of wall thickness calculations , the value of L/D is assumed for D/t<=10

Also, in case of D/t<10 we have to take note of this....

(For values of D/t<4 procedure for finding t is provided in the code)

Pl. throw some light on these two cases 1)L/D for D/t>=10 2) D/t<10

My Apology

Piping Code used is ASME B31.3 where wall thickness of pipe in case of external pressure referenced to ASME sec VIII Div1, UG-28.
