Display Width

09/30/2014 11:36 AM

One for Admin!

There's been discussion before about screens being wider than normal, with a horiizontal scroll bar appearing at the bottom. Caused by somebody pasting in wide images.

But since the name change to IHS Engineering 360, that in itself causes over-width (maybe it only affects old VDUs like mine). I don't know if others find it a bit of a pain. Is it possible to alter the banner in some way e.g. reduce the font size?

The site now has a fixed width so you should no longer see a horizontal scroll bar. I'm not sure why you're seeing a scroll bar caused by the masthead. As you suggest, it's probably caused by your particular display, and I can't do anything about that.

It didn't use to happen with the old masthead. It doesn't happen on my iPad but that's a smaller font.

I tried zooming from 100% to 75%, that gets rid of the scroll bar but the font is smaller than I'd like. I hoped I'd be able to increase text size, but none of the size options does anything.
