Pressure Vessel Code Applicable for Australia. (for Condenser, GSC?)

11/14/2014 10:57 PM

hi..!!!!

As my next step to explore the Australian market requirement, i would like to know is there any specific requirement for pressure vessel in Australia (mainly for Industrial power application such as Surface condenser, Gland sealing system, steam jet air ejector , Lube oil coolers & generator coolers etc..) ?

If we manufacture the Condensers & GSC , SJAE as per following standard isn't it is sufficient to meet Australian codes & standard..?

  1. Thermal design as per HEI ,latest Edition 2014
  2. mechanical design as per ASME Sec VIII

same way for coolers

  1. thermal design as per HEI
  2. Mechanical Design as per TEMA

From internet searching i came to know that there is one standard " AS 1210 - 2010 Edition for Pressure vessel" , I have checked from E net but not find out that standard, if some body already had or know the link for free download please let us know.
Apart form that if any body would like to address this topic (specific requirement in Australia than HEI/TEMA/ASME), that will be great help to me ..!!

looking forward healthy discussion on this regards.

Thanks in advance..!!!

Have a nice day..!!

Thanks & Regards,

Free advice and free downloads are not a good way to instill confidence of any potential customers.

Spend a few dollars and purchase the specifications you need.

All your previous requests for free advice mean you are not experienced in the field.

Healthy discussions are had by contemporary people of like competence.

You want an education and free advice.

Good luck.

Vikas Vora,

Have you searched on Google? This the web site address:-

http://www.olaer.com.au/products/accumulator_regulations/Australian_Pressure_vessel_regulations_Queensland.pdf.

My advice to you is take more pains in net searching. I got it in few seconds.

As 1210 is a comprehensive 420 page document - a lot of thought and effort has gone into its production. Go to SAI Global http://www.saiglobal.com/Information/Standards/ and be prepared to pay for the product that you are going to use.
