Drill rigs are made of steel shell construction. This is a faraday shield, so the wifi will not penetrate. There is one way to do it. Use a "lossy cable" RF conduit that runs to all rooms and is the antenna. A lossy cable is a cable that radiates a little RF all along the length.

Then all wifi units can send packets to and from the cablle. Each packed is addressed, so the addresee will get it. This is typical tcp/ip communications. Adding VOIP intercoms is quite doable, and there are people who sell this kit all over.

Most cabe makers sell lossy cable.

On the prior searches, follow them down to their links and see if they list suppliers.

They will usually deal easily with wifi in the typical room on a large boat or drill rig.
