Bag filters don't consume any air.

They filter out particles as air passes through them.

Do you mean air consumed in backflow cleaning by any chance? Not that I know the answer, but there's a good chance the filter supplier does.

Let the guessing game begin !

What does the original post truly mean ?

Cryptic phrases such as "but all are indirect one" have no meaning...... IMHO

Here is my guess:

"gslsekhar" is trying to determine the compressed air consumption for a pulse-jet air filter.

He wants to purchase/procure an air compressor !

Pulse jet air filter requirements depend on the number/type of bags in the enclosure, the amount of "cake loading" determined to be acceptable, the pulse jet cycle time and other factors !

A little more explanation of the problem would be helpful...

I believe he wants know the pressure and flow of air requirement for pulse dust removal. This is generally specified by bag filter OEMS unless you are making your own. in that case you need to the tesing through trail / error methods with solenoids of different sizes operating on sequence.

Assuming that you are requesting the compressed air consumption for a bag house dust collector...The rule of thumb is 0.5 to 1.0 SCFM of clean and dry (-40F dew point or -40C dew point, since it doesn't matter) compressed air for every 1000 CFM of dust laden air. Obviously, there are a lot of things to consider. Good luck!
