Steam Turbine Rotor

How do we decide the Turbine rotation,either clockwise or anti clockwise and what basis it is decided?

See the impellers/blades, the ones that turns. then decide if the process is compression or expansion of steam (see inlet and outlet ports of the steam). if you don't get it still, ask superior about it and wait his signal how to maintain it. If he ask you to decide, get another job--that will be a lot safer than your current job you have right now.

Clockwise in the Northern Hemisphere, and counterclockwise in the Southern.

You're in luck. You see with this affordable steam turbine if you stand at this end of the rotating shaft you will see that the turbine spins clockwise. While if you stand at this end of the turbine it spins anti clockwise. How many of these little beauties can I sign you up for?

This model makes it easy to determine rotation.

It's inherent in the turbine design. You could also either look it up in the user manual or ring the equipment manufacturer if you really want to know.
