Electric Distribution Protection and Control Book

Hello All,

I am new to this forum. I was wondering if anyone new of a good protection and control reference book for electric distribution system. I have a few, but I was looking for a book that covers coordination and scheming pretty well. Thanks in advance!!

Hi,

Go to the Areva site, they have a very good book for free in PDF format, the name of the book is T&D system.

I went to the Areva site and attempted to locate the book but was unable to find it. They have numerous publications. I searched on protective relaying manual on their T&D site but kept hitting on specific relay manuals.

How did you locate the manual?

Cooper Power Systems also publishes a manual titled, "Electrical Distribution System Protection". It's pretty thorough and is available for online purchase at www.cooperpower.com/library/.

The best book for protection systems is IEEE Yellow Buff Book..

Another book that is a must have is (Electrical Power Equipment Maintenence & Testing) by Paul Gill

IEEE Buff Book No : 242 Edition 2000 Also can refer other color book.

Go to merlin gerin website, book's title :Electrical Installation GUide or to scheneider Electric, they have good interactive training module free-download.
