M Bus BTU Meters

Hi! Guys,

Would any one tells me why M bus BTU meters gives a dely in reading, what ecnomical solution is avaliable on bacnet MSTP, or modbus what are the diffrence, why we should chose other protocls over M bus.

Is 'M bus' the same as Modbus?

How much of a delay are you seeing?

Which brand/model BTU meter are you dealing with?

GA Lyn, for pointing out the Chipkin BacNet document. I've used their Modbus document, but was unaware of the Bacnet version. Thanks.
