CR4 is proud to welcome IEEE Spectrum magazine into our family of bloggers. Their new blog, IEEE Spectrum's Tech Talk, will focus on future technology trends and the impact of those trends on society and business. From the aerospace industry to nanotechnology, biomedical applications to particle accelerators, intellectual property spats to bold business moves, Tech Talk covers it all. So check it out and feel free to engage IEEE Spectrum's editors and contributors in meaningful discussions about their posts.

Dear Chris

I think it is a very good step and IEEE Spectrum is an excellent magazine. Perhaps young engineers can discuss their serious project plans as IEEE sponsors student projects and furnaces then if they are technically sound. Mentors for students have much greater role to play and can guide young brains in accepting challenges and to give value to creativity.

On my request IEEE has reduced the membership fee for the students from developing and under developed world. India come in Zone-10 and there are many local zones are formed for handling the task of activities in local zones. Using net it is much easier to interact with zonal members and global members.

IEEE is also organizing local conferences and these can also be placed here as part of the Spectrum announcements. I used to get an Internship directory from American Chemical Society for students in India. I think this kind of resources should be specially made available in IEEE spectrum also as engineers at young age need greater exposure in real environment and Internship is the best way to get involved.

I finally wish all success to this involvement of IEEE in CR4. I am always open for any electronics engineer anywhere in the world looking for ideas to make a kick start.

Please ask that question to Chris. I think only IEEE members can have access to their full library.

Hi mahalingam,

Your CR4 password will not allow you to access the IEEE Digital Library. We are working with them on a blog based around IEEE Spectrum, their online magazine. Contact the IEEE directly to access the Digital Library.
