New EPA Regulations

The new regulations recently put in place by the EPA clearly will have an impact on the chemicals industry. Regulations imposed by EPA will regulate the use of chemicals in four specific areas: phthalates, short grain chlorinated paraffins, polybrominated diphenyl ethers, and perfluorinated chemicals. Additionally, the regulations created tougher rules for environmental clean-up. Significant debate has erupted over this legislation and its ultimate impacts.
