How Do We Educate the Uneducated About Nano?

Posted February 14, 2010 7:57 AM

A recent article from the University of Wisconsin raises concerns about the ever-widening information gap in the U.S., especially when it comes to nanotechnology. People with little or no formal education aren't getting access to a lot of the information out there, and as a result, they understand very little about nanotechnology. How do we educate all people about the benefits, challenges, and future of nanotechnology? What are the best ways to communicate? How can the Internet help?

The preceding article is a "sneak peek" from Nano Technology, a newsletter from GlobalSpec. To stay up-to-date and informed on industry trends, products, and technologies, subscribe to Nano Technology today.

as we all know , novels and films can make a revolution..... media is the tool with which we can educate people about the dimensions of nanotechnology.... all these years man lived in this planet without knowing the very things he is made of.... what once called fiction are working realities now.... its the interest that must be created , an interest to know oneself... basic structures we evolved from...... after having read something abt nanotechnology... i've started to believe im a machine will all NEMS... its the inquisitive ness and intrigue ness that can make this technology move past the blocks
