Heavy Burden for Healthcare

The fattening of America is having an impact on healthcare facilities and workers. Almost 30% of about 300 hospitals and health organizations recently surveyed report investing in physical renovations during 2009 to accommodate morbidly obese patients, and another 8% are planning to do so. Most had to purchase special equipment, such as bariatric beds, stretchers, and blood pressure cuffs. What design/engineering challenges have you encountered to fit this demographic?

Let the obese users be charged for the excess amount as a cash co-pay.

No reason for the average Joe to pony up for someone whose basic medical problem is simply cramming food into their mouth.
