Coming: Brain Control for Prosthetics

Posted October 28, 2010 7:53 AM

With funding from DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency), a team from Southern Methodist University aims to develop two-way fiberoptic communication between prosthetic limbs and peripheral nerves. One thing that this blog entry doesn't mention is how this technology could be used to help injured veterans - hence DARPA's interest.
