Nuclear Expansion Breeds Jobs

Posted December 05, 2010 7:00 AM

Concerns about carbon emissions and the high price of oil are spawning a rebirth of nuclear power in the UK. New sites are now being evaluated for a build program that could potentially spur construction of 21 new reactors by 2050.With many nuclear engineers retiring, the Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB) predicts that demand for skilled engineers in the energy sector will rise by 5% to 15% per year.

As with every thing that requires a desion in the UK nobody will have the guts to say "we need this it has to go ahead build it" these should have been built years ago instead the politicians are thinking about what people will think of them (& how much can they screw out of expenses)rather than whats best for the country & the worlds environment, another 40years of fossil fueled power stations, there wont be much atmophere left to save.

Where is my England?

Traces of Her are on the way to Norway. That is just north east of you. Ah, you knew that. Why not have a discussion with a Norwegian fisherman about the subject.

Ignorant is not a word strong enough. Gosh it is unbelievable how gullible some educated (?) people are.

Got shares? I thought so, but I have been assuming to many times and we know were that can lead.

I better get to it, building my own personal dictatorship that is.

Have a couple on me, Ky.
