Do You Need an MBA?

Most people enter MBA programs to advance their careers. The additional degree can certainly gets you noticed. But how closely does what you learn in MBA school match the skills you need to do your job better? Can the extra degree help you get promoted? Does it help you work better at the next level? What parts of the degree program most closely resemble real-life management experiences? What parts resemble them not at all? If you have an MBA, was it worth the time and money you invested?

Additional qualifications is always a value addition to ones carrier. However good experiences and attitude makes one as a good manger and problem solver.

Most programs focus on organizational leadership and/or management and finance, and therefore not directly associated with job specific candidates, e.g. an engineer. However, these programs are also essential to engineers (all branches) since they too will lead organizations and teams one day. To cut a long story short, there are benefits from undertaking such programs

Education does not equal experience. I've met people who have all sorts of degree's but are unable to understand the most basic of principles. Sadly, the education you receive now is half of what it used to be, I would take someone who has worked all their career over someone with lots of degrees any day of the week.
