The iPhone tracks your location, and cellphones and laptops all have cameras now. (True, the iPad doesn't, but it still knows where you are.) Injudiciously posted Facebook pictures have lost people jobs and in a few cases prompted arrests. Cameras in city centers record every passerby as they watch for crimes. Do you care who is watching you? Do you even notice how many cameras are trained on you in public — and in what you may think of as private? As we turn into a society of papparazzi and exhibitionists, is the increased lack of privacy a gain or loss for society?
