A team of computer scientists has discovered a way to print custom displays only a tenth of a millimeter thick, including touchscreens, using an inkjet printer and special ink. The thin-film electroluminescent screen would cost just over $20, primarily because of the cost of the ink. Printing could take as long as four hours. Developers described the screens, which are nearly as thin as paper, as "relatively high resolution." The article includes a link to the original academic paper, as well as a video showing proposed applications.
