Prototypes

With the new buzzword circulating the engineering websites "mechatronics" , I want to bring up an old question of the 5 basic mechanical machines and their roll in this area.

#1-can you name a electromechanical device that uses all 5 basic machines and still be considered "mechatronics"?

#2-Is their a device or model on the market that uses a electronic version of one of the 5 basic machines and still be considered "mechatronics"?

Mechatronics is more of a design philosophy than anything else

The general idea is to properly model, simulate, and implement a design

you can apply this to pure electric, pure mechanical or a mixture of both systems
