Not to sound snarky, but: Where *IS* this article? I'm sure many here would like to read it.

Ah, thank you.

Some of us don't bother with the front page of this site, sticking with the CR4 forums which we were a part of before IHS bought them up, so those articles can be easy to miss.

I didn't refresh before I posted, and when I had, your link was up. Sorry about that, I couldn't figure out how to delete my response.

Knowledge Management.

Is that kinda like,

1. I think I know what I'm thinking about.

2. I'm waiting for some one to tell me what to think about.

3. I want some one to do my thinking for me.

4. I think I know what I'm thinking about but I want to know that you think about it.

If only there was an article which one could read to answer these perplexing questions. But how to find such an article? How, how, HOW?!

I believe you're describing knowledge micromanagement, or KMM.
