After
the response to my last blog, Deep Blue is Giving Me the Blues, I thought I'd
better stick to something less contentious…
Aye,
the nights are drawing in… so in an effort to cheer myself up (and hopefully
cheer up tcmtech) this blog is about DEATH...
The faithful departed
In the Roman Catholic Church the month of
November is the traditional time to visit the graves of loved ones, as is the
anniversary of their deaths.

For extra creepyness you could visit church of Santa Maria della Concezione dei Cappuccini in
Rome, Italy. Located beneath a 400-year-old
church, it contains the skeletal remains of 3700 bodies with bones nailed into
the walls in intricate patterns.
Deathwatch beetle
Deathwatch beetles are
associated with quiet, sleepless nights and are named for the vigil (watch) kept beside the dying or dead, and
by extension the superstitious have seen the death watch as an omen of
impending death.
Black Friday
OK the death theme is tenuous.. The Friday following Thanksgiving
Day in the United States is Black Friday. Since the early 2000s, it has been regarded as
the beginning of the Christmas shopping
season in the US, and
most major retailers open very early (and more recently during overnight hours)
and offer promotional sales.
In 2014, $50.9 billion was
spent during the 4-day Black Friday weekend.
Now I would call the Death By Credit Card...
