Hemmings Motor News Blog

Hemmings Motor News has been around since 1954. We're proud of our heritage, but we're also more than the Hemmings full of classifieds that your father subscribed to. Aside from new editorial content every month in Hemmings, we have three monthly magazines: Hemmings Muscle Machines, Hemmings Classic Car and Hemmings Sports and Exotic Car.

While our editors traverse the country to find the best content for those magazines, we find other oddities related to the old-car hobby that we really had no place for - until now. With this blog, we're giving you a behind-the-scenes look at what we see and what we do during the course of putting out some of the finest automotive magazines you'll ever read.

Love cars? We hope so. Stuck at home? Likely, given the state of the COVID-19 pandemic as of this writing. So, if you've already binged through your favorite show or someone else's list of stay-at-home streaming recommendations, let us guide you to some automotive-based entertainment available online. Whether you like to watch shows about fixing 'em up or smashing 'em up, fact or fiction, there’s bound to be something here to catch your fancy.

This isn’t meant to be a greatest hits of all the chases from movies you already know (i.e., Bullitt, Ronin, The Blues Brothers, The French Connection, and so on). Instead, this list of recommendations from our editors, whose interests are widely varied, covers a wide swath of auto-related programming.

If you are ready for some racing and wrench turning, turn on these flicks to pass your quaran-time.

Those are some jugs . . . of moonshine.

How about re-runs of the Speed Racer cartoons from the '70's?

Or "On Any Sunday" for us single track aficionados.
