Cutting Fluid Waste

Posted November 28, 2007 8:18 AM

Many machining and metalworking companies use fluids to assist in cutting, turning, and cooling processes, but they are also finding the need to cut costs associated with fluid use. Some are adopting near-dry machining or minimum quanity lubrication (MQL) systems to minimize the amount of fluid used in cutting and cooling, but overall the technology is rather slow to catch on.

I remember some time back when I was involved with metalworking companies that there were several suppliers working with these companies to recycle and reuse the cutting fluids. Does anyone know what has happened to those efforts?

we suggest normally to filter and recycle cutting fluids nearly " real time " so as per our experience we never drop fluids. we keep on filtering again and again . we have installation more than 10 years and never replaced coolants just top up doing drag out loses or evaporations in case of emulsions.
