Calculate TCO for Control Valves

Posted December 25, 2007 7:46 AM

When selecting control valves, the total cost of ownership (TCO) is more important than valve life or replacement cost. Losses from shutting down valve-dependent processes can far exceed the valve cost. This article describes valve designs, such as clamp in place vs. screw-in that can save time and money during valve selection. How do you calculate the TCO?

The preceding article is a "sneak peek" from Industrial MRO, a newsletter from GlobalSpec. To stay up-to-date and informed on industry trends, products, and technologies, subscribe to Industrial MRO today.

Hi,

Can anyone tell me in which issue of industrial MRO this was published?

I am busy with making a TCO analysis as part of my sourcing strategy for valves, and would like to have some reference material.

Thanks!

Mark

Thanks a lot for this post as it helped me a lot in framing my project on control valves.
