Your Neck's on the Line

True innovation carries plenty of risk, which is why many companies make do with reworks of proven designs. To help you take that leap toward bolder ideas, new tools are available. Invention Machine's Goldfire 4.5 enterprise software package features a problem analysis workbench that helps engineers build structure around the innovation process, including organizing ideas, researching prior patents, exploring potential new markets, and assessing competition. Is fear of failure stifling innovation at your company, and what approaches do you use to increase your chances of success on new projects?

after 2 years of banging my head on the wall i must say you have asked the question that i wonder every day. my project has gone a long way in a small amount of time. i have used money from my other companies to fund myself and every day i wake up wondering why im still doing this. i some times think i should have just stayed with my other company but its just not the same as banging your head off the wall.

i have been lied to abused by lawyers had other people in the trade screw me for cash as well i was also spun by a group from the solar industry. but i get up every day and work harder to make sure i can get to where im going.

My latest nag are all the people that say there is no way you can make more energy from less even after i had the university do all my testing. it seems that even after you make a big leap forward there is always some one there with a big stick to go and try and give you a wack in the head.

i am not breaking the laws with the way i have made my advancment i am just fixing the lies that have been told for 100 plus years. i am not smarter then all the rest i just question everything in my life as to why it can only be done like this.

could be the fact i was in a major car crash in the 70's and lost most of my memories that is why i tend to be so pig headed with everything i do in my life. the best advice i had was from a teacher in high school "go and find some thing that makes you happy everyday of your life" i am doing it and have never looked back and he is the one person we can thank for what im doing.

am i going to have a bunch of people mad at me sure i will (oh you know i can live through this easy) . am i worried ? no im just confused as to what everyone will do if they have to admit there is a flaw in everything that we do !

question the world and everything in it as there is no way we can more forward with out this. no laws are made in stone we have seen that from all that has changed in the past.

my biggest problem as i see it will be keeping up with the demand, as well we have told our suppliers if its made in north america then we buy it from here ! im not big on outsourcing anything to other countries. same as when we put plants in other countries i hope to have it all made there as well. i know i can get it cheaper from off shore but i will not help kill all the jobs in the local markets.
