I think reusable containers and one way transport packaging will continue to become more popular as the "green" movement grows. According to the Lifecycle Inventory Study, reusable containers require 39% less energy over their service life. This not only saves money but appeals to people who are concerned about the environment and only want to do business with companies who are doing their part. This article has a lot more information on reusable containers.
