Will Blue make OLED Screens Gold?

In a joint academic collaboration, university scientists developed a 'true blue' organic light-emitting diode (OLED) material that may aid development of next-generation big-screen, energy efficient OLED displays. They could offer a greater field of vision, better color quality, and require less power than liquid crystal displays (LCDs). Will OLED be the best technology for future displays? Has current LCD technology improved enough that OLED is superfluous? What does this research mean for LCD and Plasma TVs going forward?

You mean a stable blue color? as far as i blue color (or red) was there a while only the deterioration time was an issue
