TV's Future is Bright

Posted March 19, 2009 7:22 AM

What kind of television (TV) will you be watching in the future? A recent MSN article reviews the various competing TV technologies of today, which include organic light-emitting diode (OLED) TVs, laser, 3D, and 3D high definition (HD) TVs, holographic TVs, super HD TVs, and TVs on contact lenses. Which TV design or technology do you think is currently leading the pack? Will OLED disrupt the flat panel display market? Going forward, what are the prospects for laser TV technology?

The preceding article is a "sneak peek" from Electronic Product Design, a newsletter from GlobalSpec. To stay up-to-date and informed on industry trends, products, and technologies, subscribe to Electronic Product Design today.

We'll all be watching the KrisDelTM "Walkaround 3D" TV, coming to a smoke filled room near you.
The demo program we show is a dizzying run around filmed from a squirrel's head cam
