Keeping Step with Multimedia

Posted July 29, 2009 7:57 AM

Technology advances in appliances of all types are changing with almost every blink of the eye. How can you keep abreast of the changes? Are you ready for pico-projector cell phones? A working mobile handset out of South Korea integrates digital light processing (DLP) technology, a pico-projector, and a USB jack with stereo sound speakers. It allows consumers to project pictures, movies, and video clips, as described in this two minute YouTube video. Where do you think this technology is headed next?

The preceding article is a "sneak peek" from Appliance Technology, a newsletter from GlobalSpec. To stay up-to-date and informed on industry trends, products, and technologies, subscribe to Appliance Technology today.

"How can you keep abreast of the changes?"

it's really optional, but it might become invaluable if we don't want the kids making us appear geriatric. <LOL>

I belive we will see robotic mining on the moon in the next 10 years and possible sooner the shipment of toxic waste to the moon for storage.

But keeping up with technology changes would cause many to miss their 4 or 5 hours of mindless televison watching.

Using their brains and actually thinking would require so much work the path of least resistance is so easy to take.
