The worries about human rights are farcical.

What about the human rights of the people who were killed and injured by the inmates? Or had money stolen. What about the dangers to prison staff due to hyped up drug takers serving in HM Prisons?

A criminal has basically, through his own actions, forfeited 80% of the "normal" human rights. If these cameras stop contraband and drugs getting to these prisoners, then that is simply perfect! Maybe some of the prisoners will actually lose their dependency on drugs and become "model" citizens....hopefully!
