More seriously, if this (or any) process is used to produce carbon from CO2. what happens when there is a glut of carbon? The selling price would tend to zero, and whatever process was used would no longer be cost-effective. Thus I vote for fast nuclear to generate the electricity & heat we need.

It obviously requires energy to separate CO2 into carbon and oxygen. I don't see where this energy comes from.

Provided it isn't a combustion-based source, then it doesn't matter.

Coupled with the CO2 and methane from a digester it would close the loop if the economics worked out.
