Third Paragraph. Travel increased by 325 Billion miles. An 11.2 percent increase. roughly close to the increase in accidents.

In other words, put a human behind the wheel, and while most accidents may have been preventable, they are also inevitable.

We are all glad to be back on the road.

I saw that but it is pointless. Travel could not have increased by that much, it was a lockdown in most places and what caused the accidents, lack of sleep, covid, cell phones, internet gaming, wild white lines on a road, alien attacks, wheels falling off vehicles?

No worry, I found the cause in a google search, it was runaway garden gnomes and gnome refugees evading covid areas who caused the increase in accidents.

If we’d have a border wall,… and keep those dam gnomes out…

They are great tunnelers and tend to work in efficient hordes. Leaving pot holes that vehicles can fall into and increase death rates on roads. They can be a terror to any community. And they hide in plain sight, lurking in gardens and rockeries and border walls, waiting to pounce on the innocent, driving past. Beware!!!!
