I'm currently in Colorado seems gas prices jumped about .35¢ a gallon since the hurricane. Capitalism at it's best!

I think the gas prices spiked by the corresponding loss of supply to each delivery corridor. Some major fuel pipelines (out of the refineries) had shut down from loss of pump power during the Harvey storm outages.

I do not expect anything less, or more. Life will go on and we will all be stronger, not broken.

Our gas in Quebec (Canada) went up by $0.80 per gal (~$0.2/l)...

The worst is that they usually pretend that our price is higher because out crude from Northern Europe. Why is it affected by a storm in USA?

Don't ask me to sort out logic in Canada. Maybe tankers were re-routed. I thought Canada was in the middle of becoming a major exporter of oil into the USA. Where are the Canadian refineries?
