Under the right conditions, forever.

Now really, who better would know than the supplier of your raw product?

Call them on the phone and ask them.

I got About 34,900,000 results when I googled the question.

Store forever.

Getting it out might be a problem.

I would alternate silo usage to prevent this to become a problem.

Whats your climate condition?

Many moons ago I used to deliver pozolith 120 to a batch plant in Case Grande. I would wear a dust mask, chemical boots and gloves, not because refined legumen was really hazardous to handle but because I noticed that cement dust combined with admixture tended to cause plant employees to ask me all sorts of strange questions.

I did ask them about how long cement in powder form could be stored and the batch master said they would rotate the stock about every thirty days, if they even kept it that long.

He said that when on a pour, powder wagons were coming in every day and a fresh shipment was always being mixed in a cycling silo.

If it's stored in air tight no moisture environment it will retain it's properties indefinitely....If it is exposed to moisture or moist air it will set slower and will have less strength...If cement has been stored for a long time a strength and loss on ignition test should be performed....

Forever, if enough moisture gets into it!

That sounds like a question for the Plant Supervisor?

  1. How many tons of cement do you use in a Day? Week? Month? Year?
  2. What is the climate like in your region? Temp? Humidity?
  3. What is the condition of your silo? New? Old? Sealed? Full of holes?
  4. What is the manufacturers recommendation?
  5. What is your interest in the cement storage?
  6. What is your position / job at the plant?

Let me pose a question to you! Do you know the difference between CEMENT and CONCRETE?

Good luck.
