European Union CE accreditation

07/11/2007 11:43 PM

What is the best way of securing the European Union (CE logo) accreditation for a product manufactured outside Europe? My company in New Zealand makes lifting gear for the tilt slab construction business and has strong interest from Britain and Germany

This document gives an overview of the CE marking process (with links to organisations)

This link may also be of help

There is plenty of other information available on the internet.

Many thanks jqmullal. I now have a course of action, but if that falters I will come back to you. Your message is appreciated.

There are many companies in the US who assist manufacturers of industrial equipment with CE Declarations and Technical Construction Files. I have some contacts here if you need them: gregorysmith.greg@gmail.com.
