pump material

i am working in pump company.my work is to design of the pump.this pump handle corrosive liquid(H2so4,Hcl ,acetone etc) . we go for ss304,ss316,ss316L,ALLOY20 or some time cast iron. how i will decide the material of corresponding liquid.

What volume/time are you pumping...how many Litres/minute?

Google chemical compatability of whatever material you are interested in.

Peristaltic pumps are good for smallish volumes upto say 1L/min, as it is only the tube which comes into contact with the chemical. chemicalcontrols.co.uk make peristaltic pumps & control systems

I certainly hope not Fe. Unless you know something I don't. H2SO4 likes to gobble up the iron. Have you considered some others such as Hastelloy, Inkenel (sp).
