Toyota to Exhibit New Hybrid Vehicles

Toyota has announced its plans to exhibit new hybrid vehicles and concept cars at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show. The Fine-X fuel cell hybrid achieves four-wheel independent drive control by using four in-wheel motors. The ESTIMA hybrid minivan provides electric 4WD and offers a 1,500 W power supply for running appliances.

Car Lovers

To really tickle the fancy of car lovers, carmakers need to lay out some more specs than Toyota provides in its press release. It's not enough to based an ad campaign on "yeah, it's a hybrid".

I'm waiting for the 07's

I'm thinking that the 2007s will show the real improvement in Hybrids. The 2006s were far along in the design process before all these oil pricing problems started. The 2007s should offer significantly improved gas milage and features since all the automakers are pouring money into hybrid research right now.
